(Hampton, Virginia), Kristin Arnold, President
of Quality Process Consultants, Inc. has been awarded the distinction
of CMC (Certified Management Consultant) by the Institute of
Management Consultants USA Inc. (IMC USA).
Founded in 1968, the Institute of Management
Consultants USA, Inc. (IMC USA) is the national professional
association representing management consultants. IMC USA exists
to establish professional and ethical standards for management
consultants, to provide continuing education and information
relevant to the profession, and to increase public awareness
of the management consulting profession.
The CMC mark is awarded to those select consultants
who have demonstrated a history of substantive results for clients,
shown adherence to the IMC USA code of ethics and professional
practice management and have passed an intensive peer review
process. CMCs are acknowledged as leading experts in their fields,
with track records of significant accomplishments in their consulting
engagements. In order to maintain their status, CMCs must recertify
every three years. At this time, approximately 1,000 consultants
in the United States have been recognized with the CMC mark.
That is less than 1% of all active consultants in all fields.
According to IMC USA’s National Board
Chair, Norm Eckstein, CMC, “Clients who chose to use the
services of CMCs can be assured with the knowledge that the
consulting resource they’ve chosen has passed the toughest
certification in the profession and must maintain that degree
of performance through periodic recertification.”
IMC USA is the U.S. representative to the prestigious
International Council of Management Consulting Institutes (ICMCI),
which has chapters in 32 countries.
