For twenty years, the Outstanding Professional
Women of Hampton Roads award has been given as a tribute to
honor all of Hampton Roads’ women who have strived to
achieve and accomplish whatever private and professional goals
they have chosen. Having received 176 nominations, the committee
diligently reviewed all submissions to choose the ten who would
ultimately be honored as an Outstanding Women of Hampton Roads
for 2001.
As one of the first women graduates of
the U.S. Coast Guard Academy, Arnold’s professional success
began many years ago. She continued on this pathway of success
with 11 years of active Coast Guard duty, earned a Master of
Business Administration, and is approaching two decades of successful
business practice in teamwork, team building, and team facilitation.
A successful business owner, master team
facilitator, author and featured columnist, Arnold exemplifies
professionalism in all that she does. Add in some of her many
other titles; such as Coast Guard Reserves officer, community
service leader, wife, and mother of two; and what you have is
a professional woman who truly is outstanding.
